Also known as Black-chinned Flycatcher, Black-chinned Monarch, Black-winged Flycatcher, and Black-winged Monarch Flycatcher. Found in Australia and on New Guinea. Habitat subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.Four subspecies; Pearly Monarch (M. f. canescens) is the subspecies found on islands in Torres Straits and ne Australia.
