Known in Afrikaans as the rooivlerkspreeu. Range down eastern Africa from Ethiopia to the Cape in South Africa. 27-30 cm. Found in many habitats, including forest, savannah, grassland, wetland, fynbos, farmland and commercial plantations, as well as urban environments.
