Also known as Fork-tailed Kite, Kite-hawk, Pariah Kite (India). 48-55 cm, wingspan to 1.2 m. Also found in Eurasia and Africa. In Australia range is over most of mainland except se corner and bottom e of WA. Found in grasslands, gibber, sandhills, around homesteads, along country roads and about orchards.

Range is coastal e and se Australia, Tasmania and ne Queensland highlands from Cooktown to Mackay. Found in forests, woodlands, heathlands, flowering gardens. 15-16.5 cm.

58-76cm, wingspan 1-1.2 m. Found all over Australia except area central west and south west of of WA, e of SA and sw of NT. Found in grasslands sometimes far from water, freshwater wetlands, flooded areas, irrigated fields, sewage ponds, croplands.

Also known as Blightbird, Grape-eater, Greybacked, Grey-breasted or Western Silvereye or White-eye, Ringeye, Silvey, Tauhou, Waxeye. Ranges across e and se Australia, sw Western Australia, Tasmania. Found in most vegetational types in coastal and sub-coastal Australia. 10-12.5 cm.

Also known as Blue Mountain Parrot, and Red-collared Lorikeet. 25-32 cm. Range across the north of Australia, down the east coast and across to Adelaide, a pocket also around Perth. Found in forests, woodlands, scrubs, heaths , mangroves and urban streets.
